Google SketchUp is software created by Google Inc. for us to use for free. With SketchUp, we can type practically anything in the search bar and find sketches matching the description. This is an amazing tool and the Google SketchUp gives us a sense of appreciation of sketches.

Business Propsal - Moe's Video Game Cafe

I am planning on starting a "cafe" and a video game hardware and software business.  This business will be called 'Moe's Video Game Cafe.' In my business, I'll be selling video games for hardware such as the PC, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and other handheld gaming hardware. I'll also be selling these aforementioned hardware devices to people. Not only this, but there will be a room in this business where people can relax, socialize  and play games with friends or new acquaintances, and drink coffee or eat food they could purchase from the cafe. This cafe will be located inside the business location.

Games that will be sold are those that are blockbuster release titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim among many others. We won't be selling average games that no one will buy or play because that won't be profitable for us. The cafe will be selling food, water, and soda.

The target audience for my business is every single person who loves playing video games. This person can be a child less than 10 years old, a teenager, or even an old man. No one will be discriminated against.

I believe my business will be successful because no such thing exists in Kuwait. My idea is unique and many gamers will be impressed. They'll happily visit this business frequently to socialize with others. A combination of having a cafe, a gaming setup, and availability of hardware and software for purchase will convince many gamers to visit this place.

Many people in Kuwait are interested in video games and having a good time. This business combines both and it is no wonder why I think it will succeed.

Lastly, I am going to talk about the short and long term goals of my business.

Short term: 1) Gain the necessary funds to start the business.
                  2)  Find an area to rent or purchase in The Avenues. The reason this business will be in this mall is because tons of people visit and they'll be attracted to this shop which will increase publicity.
                  3) Hire employees and market properly to further increase the popularity of my business
Long Term: --> Build the company so it can be profitable for the rest of my life!

     I am just a high school student looking to be successful in life. With hard work and perseverance, this is all attainable. Success in my perception is making enough money to live comfortably without the scare of financial struggles.

     I took this class so that I can learn more about the power of the internet and technology in regards to business and the world in general. Seeing as the 21st century is a promising time for technological developments, many corporations are taking advantage of such developments and this is why I'm interested in this class. In this semester, I want to understand why technology is so effective in business.

    Furthermore,my digital footprint score is 19. This is much higher than my sister's score at 10 points. After reading the information provided by the website about what companies and governmental organizations do with my personal information, I was a bit scared and I knew it was time to change my habits. I noticed that most electronic devices and equipment are monitored by at least one real life organization mentioned in this activity. In order to protect myself, I should stop putting so much emphasis on the usage of electronic devices in my life, especially if I have to provide extremely sensitive information to companies. Instead of sitting down lazily and ordering everything from internet retail companies like Amazon or using email to limit physical interaction with others, it would be safer for me to go to a local mall or bookstore to get what I need and it would be safer to talk to people working or studying with me.  This will definitely help me protect myself. Not only will this protect me, but it'll help me cut back from using electronic devices and equipment frequently since I would avoid them to protect my information which is a win-win situation and is what I should do starting from now.
